Pursuit of Happiness

Pursuit of customers. Pursuit of money. Pursuit of glory. Pursuit of success. We are comfortable in business pursuing these things, we know they are actions and outcomes connected to the bottomline criteria of being a business.

But in being a part-time entrepreneur in business, we must also have a pursuit of happiness. For the truth is, our passion in pursuing customers, money, glory and success can take time (we don’t necessarily have) that pulls us away from our sleep, our health and our loved ones at times. If we get into too much of a hamster wheel, our pursuits for the typical definitions of business bottom line will take over, and our happiness suffers. We compromise our values, we upset our families, we lose focus on the purpose… to be a PART-TIME entrepreneur so we CAN be happy.

The pursuit of happiness. It’s a business goal.
